Compliance Profiles In Realtime Marketing – For Leads and Contacts
MEGAN V. WALKER
I have a special 3 part series coming out this week, with the first one published this morning (11th July). As per the latest release items above, we can now create fully customised opt in lists with different topics for both Contacts AND Leads. This first one looks at Compliance Profiles and a way for existing audience members to opt in and out of your content. The second post will be about creating a form for new people to opt in to get marketing communications from you. The third post will be about moving Contacts from your Subscription Lists to your new compliance profile topics. Don’t miss these posts! It’s new and important! 😄
Business Email Validation Message On Realtime Marketing Forms
MEGAN V. WALKER
I wrote an article about making sure an email address entered in to a form did not contain a generic domain such as Gmail, Yahoo etc. This was for outbound forms. Now that real-time forms are out of preview and people are starting to use them out in the wild, I wanted to see if I could do the same for this type of marketing form. In this article I will walk through the custom validation option on fields, what’s good about them, and why you likely still will need to add a little JavaScript to your form to get it to do exactly what you need.

If there are any upcoming events relating to Marketing, they will go here!
Community Events .IT
GUIDO PREITE
If you’ve been around long enough in the D365 world you may have once subscribed to the Dynamics Weekly newsletter that was put together Guido Preite. After many years, he retired the publication but I am happy to share he has started up a new site to help us all! The Community Events .IT site lists events related to IT, many of which are all about Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. You can list your own free events at no charge, or paid events for a small fee.
MarTechFest
MARTECHFEST
I stumbled across this event and honestly it looks pretty epic. MarTechFest Utrecht (Netherlands) takes place from September 5-9, offering leaders in B2B, B2C, D2C, and B2B2C an unparalleled opportunity to deepen their understanding of the marketing technology landscape. Designed for Founders, CMOs, Senior Strategists, and Agency Owners, this event boasts a selection of curated content, engaging networking sessions, and showcasing of the latest marketing technologies. The agenda looks so good, and just the expo itself would be interesting to walk around!
UK Community Awards
THE MICROSOFT COMMUNITY UK SPOTLIGHT AND RECOGNITION AWARDS
I mentioned this last week but think it’s worth keeping in here for another week! If you want to recognise people in the community who blog, make videos, present at events or generate other content that has helped you out over the years, this is worth checking out. The 2023 ‘Microsoft Community UK Spotlight and Recognition Awards’ ceremony will be hosted on Friday 13th October, from 7pm at the South Coast Summit 2023 Community Gala. There are 10 categories, and you only need to vote in the ones you choose. Check it out, and vote for people who’ve helped you as a way of saying thanks!
Customer Experience Reimagined
MICROSOFT
This is an on demand (watch at any time) event all about the latest trends and best practices shaping customer experience (CX) today - and tomorrow. Introducing Threads: A New Way to Share with Text
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you likely have heard of Threads, the new social platform from Meta (the company who brought you Facebook and Instagram). If you are responsible for social media at your organisation, it might be one to look at, and there are already over 30 million people who have at least installed it (are they using it though?). Pretty similar to Twitter but with a tight integration with Instagram. Have you looked at it yet?
