Customer Insights Journeys or D365 Marketing? All Change
MEGAN V. WALKER
Last week was a bit of a mind bend. Changes all over the place, and I’ve taken a bit of time to let things marinate, and put together my thoughts on an announcement from Microsoft that changes things for their marketing offering. I don’t have all the answers, but I think it’s important to share my thoughts on exactly what is going on with a change from D365 Marketing to Customer Insights Journeys. That’s a big deal! So what does it actually mean? Below is my interpretation based on what Microsoft has published to date. If info changes or is expanded upon, I will update the post to reflect that. For now, read on for what these changes might mean for you.
Capturing UTM Parameters Via Realtime Marketing Form Submissions
MEGAN V. WALKER
If you are using Realtime components in D365 Marketing, hopefully you’ve turned on the UTM tracking for your own emails and texts. Adding links to your different types of communication will mean UTM parameters are appended automatically, providing some great analytics in your analytic tool of choice. However, what about the ability to capture the UTM parameters from the URL when someone fills out one of your forms? Likely you are sharing links to forms on social media or within paid advertising. I already wrote about how to do this with Outbound Marketing forms, but this post is all about doing the same with Realtime Marketing forms. Let’s take a look!
Using Realtime Marketing Form In Events Power Pages Website
MEGAN V. WALKER
This series is looking at building your own custom Events Portal using a Power Pages website. How do you get the actual event pages set up and add the registration form to each one? In this post we will look at one method, adding the script to each new page of your portal. This is just one method and in my opinion not likely to be the one you end up going with but will be a good starting point to understand how it works. Let’s get started!

BLEEPINGCOMPUTER - AX SHARMA
We’ve already had one baffling renaming mentioned in this issue, but are you aware of the one about Twitter? This one makes me chuckle. Research is important. Naming your product just one letter of the alphabet? Causing issues obviously not thought of.
I’m On Threads
MEGAN V. WALKER
Not sure if there has ever been such a rapid growing social media platform ever than Threads. Apparently there are over 100 million thread users which is mind boggling! That number is slowing down, but for me that shows it’s not a platform to ignore. I’ve not used Twitter in well over 6 months so figured I would take a look at Threads and how content performs there. If you are so inclined, you can find me on Threads using the link below!
