Issue 24 of D365 Marketing Weekly

I had some time off last week so no newsletter, but lots of great stuff to share this week! Before we jump in, I would like to share something personal. I am walking 50K this coming Saturday on 23rd September to raise money for charity. My Dad has Alzheimer’s, so I am walking for the Alzheimer’s Society (for the 3rd year in a row) in an effort to feel like I might make even the tiniest difference. My family and I have already raised over £8,000 so hoping to make that total even higher with the walk this year. If you are able to, and it’s a charity you believe in yourself, any and all donations are very much appreciated.

As always, if you spot anything you think would be worth a mention, just let me know by emailing [email protected]. Always good to know of others posting about D365 Marketing or if you see anything else other marketers should know about.

Now let’s get on with the newsletter!

PAULINE KOLDE

A great post from Pauline, walking through some steps to create a journey to send information about ondemand webinars, after the live event has complete. This can provide your customers with a way to access the recording without needing to have attended on the day.

How To Create Real-time Marketing Landing Pages

MEGAN V. WALKER

I’ve written about creating real-time marketing forms in D365 Marketing many times now, but for all of those posts I’ve always referred to using the JavaScript to then embed the form in a page on a website. What if you want to use the form as a stand alone landing page instead? Did you know this can also be done from a Realtime Marketing form and create a Real-time Marketing Landing Page? There is no separate place for landing pages in Realtime and even better, you don’t need a portal to do this! This blog will show you how.

A closer look at the new Scoring models in Dynamics 365 Marketing Real-time

JESPER OSGAARD

Jesper has written about the scoring models in Real-time Marketing. It’s a great overview of the feature, BUT, I would still be cautious and thoroughly test it before using. I’ve seen some issues that seem to be getting worked out, but for me I don’t feel it’s truly ready yet. As Jesper says, there is room for improvement!

D365 Customer Insights - Journeys: Real-World Benefits - Power BI

KELLY SIMPSON

Kelly has another blog from her series. This one is all about Power BI. Although the templates shown as the examples are for Outbound Marketing only, I am REALLY hopeful Microsoft will provide some for Realtime Marketing. That way when this feature is out later this year, we will have something to start with: Build custom reports using Microsoft Fabric integration. Either way, the article should get people thinking about Power BI and the kinds of reports they might want to see and request that their report writer builds for them!

Events

If there are any upcoming events relating to Marketing, they will go here!

CXP User Group Meetup - September Edition!

CXP USER GROUP

The CXP User Group have their next online meetup, Monday September 25th, with an awesome guest, Jim Nakashima from Microsoft. For the first meetup since a long summer vacation, they are back with exciting news on Customer Insights - Data and Journeys! In this meetup, they will get you up to speed with all of the changes, and having Jim on the call will mean all questions will be answered! 😊 make sure you don’t miss it!
