Issue 27 of D365 Marketing Weekly

Not much to cover this week in the world of Marketing and D365 Customer Insights - Journeys! I’ve got a few blogs I’ve found, and a couple of events that are coming up this month to take a look at.

As always, if you spot anything you think would be worth a mention, just let me know by emailing [email protected]. Always good to know of others posting about D365 Marketing or if you see anything else other marketers should know about.

Now let’s get on with the newsletter!

Create and extend leads in a journey

PAULINE KOLDE

In this post, Pauline digs in to the new tiles you can use in Realtime Marketing Journeys, and specifically looks at creating leads via a journey. Even better, she looks at how you can extend the Journey table to include the ability to add some defaults for the Leads that get created. Awesome stuff!

Including Purposes & Topics In Real-time Marketing Segments

MEGAN V. WALKER

Another post in the series relating to Compliance Profiles, Purposes and Topics. This one is a long awaited final step with the ability to create segments and find people who are opted in (or opted out) of specific Topics. This makes it so much easier to find the right people for those Journeys where you just want to send an email out to all of the people who have asked to be kept up to date about information on a specific Topic. Let’s walk through how to add it in to a Segment.

If there are any upcoming events relating to Marketing, they will go here!

Power Platform Whistlestop Tour

RORY NEARY

This event looks so cool! Rory Neary is a Microsoft MVP and along with several others, he is putting on an event in London on Thursday 19th October from 1.30 PM to 8 PM (BST). It isn’t specific to Marketing, but will cover Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages and Power BI. Looks like a great way to get an overview of the full Power Platform… and the event is free!
