Issue 29 of D365 Marketing Weekly

Great articles this week, and an event close to my heart (I will be presenting!). If you are in the UK and can make it to Birmingham next month, would be great to see you there!

As always, if you spot anything you think would be worth a mention, just let me know by emailing [email protected]. Always good to know of others posting about D365 Marketing or if you see anything else other marketers should know about.

Now let’s get on with the newsletter!

Customer Insights - Journeys Copilot frenzy

MALIN MARTNES

A great article from Malin all about Copilot in Customer Insights Journeys (D365 Marketing) and what the Copilot related features are. She states there are 22 Copilot items included! Malin has walked through the Copilot features she has access to and given us an overview of what we can expect.

Responsive Social Media Content Blocks On Desktop And Mobile Devices

MEGAN V. WALKER

One of the smart approaches to take with your emails in Customer Insights Journeys (D365 Marketing) is to build Content Blocks that can be used when creating email templates or one off emails as needed. Building them is easy and makes sense for repeated things such as headers, footers, unsubscribe copy and social media profiles. We can create blocks using multiple columns to lay out the different images and space them in a nice looking layout. BUT, have you ever noticed they look a bit strange on a mobile device? If you are seeing those images all one on top of each other, this might be the post for you! Let’s look at how you can make the image layout look good no matter what device your email are viewed on and create responsive social media content blocks.

Track D365 Marketing Form Submissions In GA4

MEGAN V. WALKER

Back in 2021, prior to Google Analytics going from Universal to GA4, I wrote a post about tracking D365 Marketing form submissions in Google Analytics. This was to help track all conversions even if you were not using a redirect to a thank you page (the easiest way to track your conversions). GA4 is not the easiest tool in the world to use, so this post will show you steps to add the ability to track submitted forms via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (GA4) regardless of if you are using thank you pages, or just displaying a thank you message on the same page as the form. This also means if you are using the same form embedded in multiple web pages, it will still pass through to GA4 and allow you to track those conversions. This post assumes you have Google Tag Manager already set up and have at least a basic knowledge of Google Analytics.

Fixing errors in Customer Insights – a short guide

PAULINE KOLDE

We all know bugs happen, and errors can be frustrating! In this post from Pauline, she’s put together a list of things that should help if you encounter an issue when using Customer Insights Journeys (D365 Marketing). There are quite a few things to consider and some I hadn’t thought of. Great post Pauline!

If there are any upcoming events relating to Marketing, they will go here!

Birmingham D365 & Power Platform User Group

DYNAMICS 365 & POWER PLATFORM UK USER GROUPS

This one is exciting because I will be presenting at the event! This is in the evening on Thursday November 23rd in Birmingham, UK. I will delve in to Realtime Marketing in Customer Insights - Journeys (formerly D365 Marketing). With recent announcements from Microsoft, Realtime is the way to go, and Outbound is no longer even an option for newer customers! Is your organisation ready to make the move? Although you have time, the amount of work and effort will vary depending on the size of a company and the amount of assets and journeys currently being used. I will walk through the specific areas to be aware of and aim to provide a less daunting journey for you (no pun intended)! Would love to see you there!
