Issue 42 of D365 Marketing Weekly

Hi lovely reader,

Was very excited to send out the first swag stickers to someone last week. They had recommended it 6 times, which meant the first and second milestone stickers went on their way to Belgium! If you've already subscribed, just use Login link from the top right menu. Once you're logged in you can then find the Referrals link back on the menu. You’ll see all the swag you can earn just by referring the newsletter to others.

As always, if you spot anything you think would be worth a mention, just let me know by emailing [email protected]. Always good to know of others posting about D365 Marketing or if you see anything else other marketers should know about.

Now let’s get on with the newsletter!

D365 Marketing

The following relate to news and articles about Dynamics 365 Marketing

Use custom fonts in Customer Insights for emails and forms

PAULINE KOLDE

This is a relatively new feature in Customer Insights - Journeys, the ability to use custom fonts in emails and forms. There are definitely some pitfalls, but Pauline talks through it all and explains how to use them correctly. Great post Pauline!

Unifying Customer Data with D365 Customer Insights

CAMERON CAUDILL

This is a good one if you are not really sure what Customer Insights - Data is, and looking for a bit of understanding. Cameron explains how data can be used to unify the information and create one profile from multiple sources. A good high level overview to at least try and understand if using this is right for you and your organisation.

Maximizing Lead and Contact Generation with Form Capture in CI-J

PETER KRAUSE

Another great post from Peter, this time on the Form Capture functionality. A great example is used, focusing on the Contact Form 7 plugin for WordPress. It’s a pretty popular tool, but even if you don’t use that for your site, it gives some great examples. Check it out in conjunction with some of my other posts and you’ve got all you need! Using Form Capture With Realtime Marketing Form Submissions & Setting Default Values For Unmapped Fields With Form Capture.

Breaking down form script in Customer Insight Journeys

GUSTAF WESTERLUND

This one might be for the more technical among you, but Gustaf takes a closer look at the script that’s generated for a Realtime marketing form, and provides a bit more detail in terms of it’s structure. Good to know for cases where using the script directly can cause challenges. This way you can build the script programmatically.
